A busy area of Interstate 10 going west will be reduced to fewer lanes Friday.
Officials with the Texas Department of Transportation said the emergency closure of the right lane of I-10 between the Resler exit ramp and the North Mesa exit ramp will happen from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Emergency repairs are needed to repair a silt fence in the area, officials said.
Plan ahead if you’re planning to head in this direction, especially during the busy afternoon drive time, which usually begins around 4 p.m.
You can exit Sunland Park Drive and drive down Mesa Street if you are north of I-10.
Those south of I-10 can exit Sunland Park Drive and take Doniphan Drive west.
