The Texas Department of Transportation told KFOX14 the major overnight closures for the GO10 project were scaled back from eleven days to six days.

Sunday was the last night TXDOT expected drivers to see the complete shutdown of the Interstate and intersection of N. Mesa.

Monday they released an updated schedule for the project that includes alternate lane closures throughout the day and overnight.

Drivers should prepare for these closures on the west side and the possibility of still seeing a complete shutdown if necessary said TXDOT.

I-10 East-Daytime-Monday, Dec. 12 through Friday, Dec.16

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day

A left lane on I-10 Eastbound will be closed for about a half mile between North Mesa Street (SH 20) and the Resler Flyover Ramp.

Crews will be working on bridge columns. Fact: There are 29 bridges in the GO 10 work zone that will be widened or replaced. [Map 2]

I-10 West-Overnight-Monday, Dec. 12 through Thursday, Dec. 15

9 p.m. each night to 5 a.m. each morning

A right lane on I-10 Westbound will be closed between Sunland Park Overpass and the Resler Exit Ramp (Exit 12).

The Resler Exit Ramp (Exit 12) from I-10 Westbound will be closed.

Sunland Park Entrance Ramp to I-10 Westbound will be closed.

Crews will be hauling material through the area.

I-10 Both Directions

Overnight-Monday, Dec. 12 and Tuesday, Dec. 13

9 p.m. each night to 5 a.m. each morning

All lanes on I-10 in both directions will undergo a moving operation. One lane at a time will close between the Sunland Park Overpass and the Executive Center Overpass.

Moving operations involve pacing vehicles that slow or briefly stop traffic while road work is performed. In this case, crews will be sweeping the interstate for debris.

Overnight-Tuesday, Dec. 13 and Wednesday, Dec. 14

9 p.m. each night to 5 a.m. each morning

The left lane on I-10 in both directions between the Sunland Park Overpass and the Executive Center Overpass will be closed.

Crews will be repairing pavement potholes.
