Another El Paso boxer is making the city proud.

The Sun City has always been a boxing city. Some El Pasoans have made a name for themselves in the boxing industry like Showtime Boxing’s general manager Stephen Espinoza and the city’s sweetheart, Jennifer Han.

Natalie Martinez is younger; she’s 10 years old, to be exact. But she’s the newest boxing prospect who has already won the Junior Olympics and is ranked No. 1 in the nation.

Photojournalist Andrew Jara spoke to her trainer and family to find out how the little boxer is doing such big things.

Her next fight is July 26 in Kansas City and her family is holding a fundraiser to help with expenses.
