To kick off the start of the El Paso Chihuahua’s 5th anniversary, the team will play an exhibition game with the San Diego Padres.

The game will take place March 26 at Southwest University Park.

“We’re thrilled to bring a Major League team to El Paso and Southwest University Park for the second time in our history,” said Alan Ledford MountainStar Sports Group president. “Fans will get to see some of their favorite former Chihuahuas while getting the first glimpse at the 2018 team. The Padres have some of the best young talent in the big leagues and we’re excited to introduce them to our fans.”

This will be the second matchup between the two teams, and when the two played last year, the Padres won 13-9.

Tickets for the exhibition game are available to season seat and Paw-tial plan holders who renewed for the 2018.

Fans who are not season ticket holders can register for a chance to pre-purchase tickets at
