1 person seriously injured in far east Horizon crash

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — One person was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries following a crash in far east El Paso, according to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.

The crash happened at about 10 p.m. Thursday night at the 1350 block of Horizon Boulevard.

Deputies closed off Horizon Blvd. from Peyton Road to Ellsworth.

Northbound traffic was detoured to Peyton Road east to Harnose Drive, to Bowdoin, and north on Horizon.

Southbound traffic was being diverted west at Bowdoin.

The crash cleared at 6:07 a.m., according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
