American Health Packaging is recalling Valsartan tablets. Valsartan is used to control high blood pressure and treats heart failure.
The recall is due to traces of a substance that has been classified as human carcinogen.
The tablets in the recall are of 160 mg. They were sold nationwide to wholesalers in hospitals.
The affected products will have lot number 179791.
American Health Packaging says it is notifying its distributors.
