Get this... researcher claims 'man flu' is real

The 'man flu' is real. At least according to researchers in Canada.

The term 'man flu' has long been associated with men who become whiny and extremely needy when they come down with a bug. It's even the focus of a viral video that shows how moms react when they're sick, versus how a man reacts.

In any case, one researcher in Canada who claimed he was 'tired of being accused of overreacting' says he now has proof that the man flu really does exist.

Researcher Kyle Sue claims in his research that men have a less robust immune system when compared to women. He blames a man's less responsive immune system on testosterone levels.

Sue also jokingly states that male sickness may be an important strategy for male survival which encourages energy conservation, such as 'lying on the couch, not getting out of bed and receiving assistance with basic activies of daily living.'

He even suggests women may be to blame for man flu since they they chose a partner who is more likely to experience the 'man flu.'

Sue concludes, "Perhaps now is the time for male friendly spaces, equipped with enormous televisions and reclining chairs, to be set up where men can recover from the debilitating effects of man flu in safety and comfort."
