Truck carrying Axe body spray cans explodes on Texas highway
BELTON, Texas —
A section of Interstate 35 in Texas was reduced to the consistency of gravel after a truck carrying Axe body spray exploded due to a fire igniting the highly flammable aerosol cans.
A semi-truck carrying canisters of Axe body spray exploded on Interstate 35 in Belton, Texas Friday.
An 18-wheeler was about 60 miles north of Austin, around 4 a.m. when the driver saw a fire in his rear view mirror, according to CNN affiliate KXXV-TV. The driver pulled over to the shoulder and detached the trailer from the truck.
There were reports of the spray cans being launched from the truck and across the highway.
The fire shut the highway down for hours.
