Former Sheriff's employee accused of collecting $100,000 for sex acts

Former Sarasota County Sheriff's employee Frankie Bybee is accused of collecting $100,000 from a woman he had an affair with while on and off duty.

The investigation into a former Florida sheriff's employee charged with attempted murder is taking a new turn.

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office says Frankie Bybee had an illicit affair with a woman while on and off duty. Investigators say she paid him up to $100,000 for the sexual acts.

Bybee is already accused of trying to kill a 79-year-old woman and making the death appear as a suicide.

The Sheriff's Office fired Bybee a week after his arrest last month.

Bybee is also facing 10 counts of criminal use of personal identification and one count of accessing a computer or electronic device without authority. Investigators say he made a dozen unauthorized withdrawals from a woman's bank account at ATMs in Sarasota and Manatee Counties. The Sheriff's Office shared some of those videos on YouTube.
