Agent Rogelio Martinez lays to rest as loved ones and officials honor his memory

Family and friends of agent Rogelio Martinez gathered together to say their last goodbyes.

Officials from all over attended the services, including Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Services began Friday night with a rosary at Martin Funeral Home.

A private viewing for the family was held the next day at the funeral home before Martinez's body was escorted to Lady of Guadalupe Church.

The casket was covered with a U.S. flag as pallbearers carried the body into the church.

Services at Lady of Guadalupe church lasted over an hour.

Police and Border Patrol agents later escorted the body from the church to its final resting place at Restlawn cemetery.

As loved ones and officials arrived at the cemetery, they were greeted with a huge flag from the El Paso fire department.

The flag was hanging from a massive crane in honor of Martinez.

Martinez leaves behind a son, fiancée and a community of people who loved him.

As we reported before, Martinez died from an unknown injury while on duty as a border patrol agent.

The FBI has no confirmation of how agent Martinez died but is offering a $25,000 reward to anyone with information regarding his death.
