6 dogs found abandoned, dead inside SUV; woman and man wanted

Two people are being sought by Albuquerque police after six dogs were found dead inside an abandoned SUV.

Police responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle when the six dogs were discovered Wednesday, dead inside the SUV.

Investigators said a woman hired two strangers through Craigslist to help her drive dozens of her dogs to Texas, because she was moving there.

They said the woman met the two people at a park in Albuquerque, but they never followed her to Texas.

The following day, a woman named Sara was seen on surveillance footage allegedly abandoning a black Ford Explorer with six dogs inside.

Police said they’re working to find Sara and the person who had another five or six dogs with him in a separate vehicle.

Officers are asking for the public’s help in finding the woman who was driving that vehicle, as well as a man who had up to six other dogs with him. He was driving a silver Dodge Caravan that he rented.
