Four teens have been taken into custody and charged with the rock-throwing incident that happened on I-10 in November.

On Tuesday, four 14-year-olds were charged with 16 counts of deadly conduct and taken to the Juvenile Probation Department, according to a press release issued by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

On Nov. 27, at least 20 vehicles were damaged and one person was injured when rocks were thrown on I-10 between Fabens and Tornillo.

Ivan Lerma spoke to KFOX14 after the incident and said he was driving to Austin when his vehicle was hit by rocks.

“I saw a couple cars on the side of the road and suddenly I got hit. I saw a bunch of rocks flying at me. And I got hit,” Lerma said.
