Police are asking for the public’s help to identify three men suspected of obtaining credit card information and making fraudulent purchases.

Police believe at least 21 people from the La Cruces, Deming and El Paso area have been victimized.

The crimes were first reported locally on Monday, police said.

Authorities believe the men possibly obtained the information from a credit card skimmer or remote credit card reader.

The men used the information to duplicate the cards and used them to purchase Visa gift cards at area Walmart stores, police said.

Police believe others may have been victimized in a similar manner but may not be aware of it yet. Residents are encouraged to review their bank and credit card statements and check with their financial institution, police said.

The three men were caught on surveillance video leaving a Las Cruces Walmart, and they left the parking lot in a silver SUV, police said.

Anyone with information on the men's identities is asked to call police as soon as possible.

Anyone who sees fraudulent activity in their bank or credit card statements are asked to call police at 575-526-0795.
