Thousands lose power in the Lower Valley

More than 2,000 people were without power in the Lower Valley, according to El Paso Electric.

The power outage happened just after 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Crews worked to restore power to customers living near Alameda Avenue and Yarbrough Drive.

Power was restored just before 3:30 p.m.

El Paso Electric said the outage was caused by a high profile vehicle that clipped utility lines in that area.
