Teens caught taking steel car parts at Sparks home, deputies say

    Two young men were caught in the act of stealing on Sunday.

    Salvador Quezada-Castro, 18, and Jonathan Cardoza, 19, were outside a home in the 13100 block of Grand River Drive in Sparks trying to take steel parts from a parked vehicle, according to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.

    The owner of the vehicle was home when Quezada-Castro and Cardoza were dismantling the vehicle.

    Sheriff's investigators said the owner called 911 to report the burglary.

    The investigation revealed that the two suspects had no clue that the owner was inside and could hear and see them.

    Both were charged with burglary of a vehicle. Quezada-Castro was also charged with possession of marijuana.
