    Officials with Gadsen Independent School District said Sunland Park Elementary School was forced to be on a temporary lockdown on Friday.

    School officials said an undocumented man from Ecuador jumped the fence of the school and was injured as a result.

    The school’s administration called the district’s security officers who detained the man until Border Patrol arrived.

    The man suffered a broken ankle.

    The school was on lockdown for one hour.

    Border Patrol did not give a comment.
