Students compete in 32nd annual Socorro ISD ‘Spring Games’
More than 800 students with special needs will be competing in track and field events Wednesday.
Students from Socorro Independent School District will take part ofin the annual Spring"Spring Games event," held at the Student Activities Complex (SAC).
There will be races for 10- and 25-meter walks, assisted walks and 25-, 50-, 100-, 200- and 400-meter runs.
Hundreds of parents, families, teachers, students and community members attend the games to cheer on the student-athletes in the gamesstudents.
Elementary students will compete from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Middle and high school students will have their contest from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
A mini parade kicked off the event.
