Update: EPCSO takes over investigation involving body found in Socorro
SOCORRO, Texas (KFOX14) — The El Paso County's Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday that it is taking over the investigation involving a woman's death.
Sheriff's deputies and Socorro police were seen along the 9900 block of Alameda Ave. in Socorro Monday morning.
Socorro police officials said around noon Monday that "no foul play is suspected."
Viewers reached out to KFOX14 with photographs that show patrol cars from the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office and Socorro Police Department at the scene.
Yellow crime tape was placed around a car stereo installation business called Sun City Installations at 9961 Alameda Avenue.
On Tuesday, sheriff's officials identified the woman as 62-year-old Alma Wurz. Police officials said Monday she was found unconscious near the business.
A medical examiner pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
