Sheriff’s Office: Two women arrested in northeast El Paso following tip

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrested two women, who were wanted, following a tip Thursday.

The Sheriff’s Office said deputies assigned to the Warrants and Fugitive Apprehension Unit arrested 33-year-old Sarah Hughes and 21-year-old Maria Del Pilar Trejo.

The Sheriff’s Office says Hughes was arrested at the 10100 block of Whitetail Drive in northeast El Paso and was wanted on an outstanding criminal warrant for forgery of a financial instrument.

Officials say Maria Del Pilar Trejo was arrested on the 5700 block of Panther Drive in northeast El Paso, for two counts of probation violation for theft of property <$2500 2/more convictions.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says both women were booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility.
