An 8-foot rock wall to a business in west El Paso fell apart, damaging property and vehicles.

The business parking lot at Suncrest Street and Wallenberg Avenue near Mesa Hills Drive is covered in large rocks.

A thunderstorm that passed through the area around 6:30 p.m. Monday sent stormwater rushing along Mesa Hills.

The runoff from the storm caused a rock wall at El Paso Door Co. along the 5400 block to collapse.

“We started getting phone calls that we had gotten hit really bad,” said owner of El Paso Door Co. Alec Felhaber.

He said offices nearby were flooded, damaging vehicles and buildings.

The 8-foot rock wall, now rubble, had sustained repairs over the years before Monday’s storms, said Felhaber.

Crews were out Monday evening were working to clear the debris from roadways in the area.

Crews continued to work on the damage Tuesday morning.

Workers could be seen removing the rocks and vacuuming up the water from inside the buildings in the area.

Many of the vehicles in the area are being blocked by the rocks.

It's not known how long it could take to clean up.
