EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14) — Police arrested three teens for allegedly being in possession of about 35 pounds of drugs.
Officers with the El Paso Police Department stopped a gray Toyato Avalon on Tuesday morning for an expired registration sticker at the 500 block of S. Oregon in central El Paso.
The investigation showed that 18-year-old Sergio Luna was driving the vehicle and that 19-year-old Victor Valdez and 19-year-old Ricardo Mejorado were passengers in the vehicle.
Police said Luna, Valdez and Mejorado were in possession of 20 bags of Kush (marijuana) that weighed 18.22 pounds and 200 containers of Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC extract, that weighed 17.61 pounds.
All three teens were booked into the El Paso County Jail, and bonds were set at $45,000 each.
