Police arrest man for possession of meth while allegedly causing disturbance at McDonald's

    Officers with the El Paso Police Department said they arrested a man for being in possession of meth while causing a disturbance at a McDonald's in east El Paso.

    Police were called to the restaurant located at 11260 Montana Ave. on Thursday evening.

    Investigators saw 35-year-old Anthony Chavez walking in the parking lot with a small child and said Chavez was causing a disturbance.

    Police said Chavez was found in possession of three bags containing meth.

    Police said the child was turned over to Child Protective Services.

    Chavez was booked into the El Paso County Jail and charged with possession of a controlled substance. He is being held on a $7,500 bond.
