LAS CRUCES, N.M. — New Mexico State University is celebrating veterans this week.
The fourth annual event will focus on supporting the NMSU military and veterans’ community.
The celebration began Monday with an opening ceremony at Aggie Memorial Tower at the College of Health and Social Services building.
On Tuesday, a Veterans Day picnic will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Garcia Center Courtyard. There will be information tables from local veteran organizations.
Wednesday, the Student Veterans Organization will have an information table outside Corbett Center’s main entrance from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Thursday students will have the opportunity to meet with local recruiters behind Young Hall from 10 a.m. to noon There will also be games and a climbing wall.
There will be a banquet held at the NMSU Golf Course Clubhouse. Dinner will be served from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
On Saturday, the Veterans Day parade will begin at 3 p.m. in downtown Las Cruces.
