EL PASO, Texas — Brace yourself, more congestion is coming.
Mesa Street on Sunday could look just like it did the Sunday before with all the traffic congestion all due to another Interstate 10 closure.
The closure is slated to start 3 a.m. Sunday and end at 5 a.m. on Monday.
“This weekend, we’re going to be taking down the remainder of the Paisano Bridge. It’s the other side of the project like last week,” said Bob Bielek, the district engineer for the Texas Department of Transportation. “The difference here is that we’ll keep one lane opened on I-10 eastbound.”
The westbound lanes of I-10 will be completely shut down from the Sunland Park exit to the Sunland Park entrance.
TXDOT said drivers should plan on leaving 20 minutes early if they’re driving on the westside.
I-10 eastbound will have one lane opened in the same area.
