Men accused of having over 100 pounds of cocaine at far east El Paso home

A narcotics investigation conducted in far east El Paso ended with the arrest of two men Thursday.

Police officers with the West Texas HIDTA Source City Metro Narcotics Task Force said they arrested 20-year-old Isidro Ramirez and 18-year-old Fernando Cardona and seized over 100 pounds of cocaine.

The arrest was made along the 12000 block of Chato Villa Drive.

Police said Ramirez and Cardona were in possession of 25 bricks of cocaine.

The investigation also revealed that Ramirez had an additional 13 bricks of cocaine, according to police.

The total number of cocaine bricks seized was 38, and a total weight of the cocaine was 101 pounds, police said.

Both men were charged and booked into the El Paso County Jail on bonds of $100,000 each.
