Man accused of kicking, dragging dog at Northeast El Paso Circle K arrested

A man was charged with animal cruelty after he was seen dragging and kicking a dog at a Circle K in Northeast El Paso, according to the El Paso Police Department.

Rolando Heras, 34, reportedly abused a Husky at the Circle K located at 9050 Gateway North on Jan. 13 around 5:50 p.m., according to police.

Heras was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on Jan. 26 following a warrant was issued by Judge Horkowitz for Cruelty to an Animal.

Heras was issued a $3,000 bond.

The incident was investigated by the El Paso Police Department’s Animal Cruelty Unit and Northeast Regional Command.
