Lower Valley residents report strange smell, smoke coming from Western Refining

People in the Lower Valley were concerned about yellow smoke and a strange smell coming from Western Refining on Wednesday.

Jim McCormick with Western Refining said they had an incident that caused the smoke coming from one of the stacks.

People near the area reached out to KFOX14 to say they noticed a sulfur-like smell and captured pictures of the yellow smoke.

McCormick said the smoke dissipated quickly and there were no injuries.

He said the incident is being investigated.
