A Las Cruces man accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting his ex-girlfriend was arrested Tuesday.

Hampton allegedly sexually assaulted the woman and threatened to do so for days, police said.

Police said Hampton removed the duct tape from the woman around 5 p.m. Monday and allowed her to get dressed.

Around midnight Tuesday, the woman told Hampton she wanted to smoke a cigarette, but instead she asked for help at a neighbor’s residence, police said.
