Funeral services for Border Patrol agent

Rogelio Martinez, 36, died after her was found seriously hurt in a culvert next to Interstate 10 near Van Horn.

The rosary will be said at Martin Funeral Home at 3839 Montana Ave. The public is invited from 5 to 7 p.m. and then again from 8 to 9 p.m.

On Saturday, the church service will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at 2709 Alabama St. at 12:30 p.m., followed by the burial at Restlawn Cemetery at 4848 Alps Drive.

The funeral mass and internment is not open to the public, and it is limited to family, friends and law enforcement. KFOX14's and CBS4's coverage will be live streamed online and on Facebook.

The 36-years old agent was assigned to the Van Horn, Texas, Station. He began working with the U.S. Border Patrol on August 12, 2013. He is the 125th U.S. Border Patrol Agent to have died in the line of duty.

Martinez is survived by his parents, Jose and Elvia; his brothers, Enrique and Miguel; his son, Sergio; his fiancee, Angie Ochoa; three stepchildren: Abby, Arianna and Alex; and numerous nieces and nephews. Martinez's hometown was El Paso.

Friends of Martinez will have the Star on the Mountain lit in his honor on Friday and Saturday.
