Former students of Brightwood and Virginia colleges are invited to set up personal appointments with Vista College representatives.

Brightwood College closed all its campuses across the country on Dec. 7.

Several students told KFOX14 they received an email from the CEO and president, giving them just a couple of days’ notice of the closing.

Some students said they couldn’t finish classes they were enrolled in.

Vista College said it is trying to support former students of Brightwood and Virginia colleges and that it is carefully reviewing and taking consideration of all previously earned credits.

Vista College said it would provide information about scholarships and financial assistance for those that qualify.

"We want to help the former Brightwood and Virginia College students realize their goals and dreams,” said Vista College CEO Jim Tolbert.

“We know that they have worked hard and are now trying to figure out their next steps, and we want to assist with that process,” Tolbert said.

Any former El Paso Brightwood College students are invited to set up an appointment with one of Vista College’s admissions representatives by calling 915-779-8031 or by going to the El Paso campus, located at 6101 Montana Ave., El Paso, Texas 79925.
