HORIZON CITY, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Two men accused of trying to buy items using fake money were arrested by the Horizon City Police Department Wednesday, the agency confirmed.
Pedro Lara, 23, and Juan Reynaga, 36, were both charged with forgery. Reynaga was also charged with failure to identify, police said.
The men reportedly tried to use fake money at businesses at a shopping center on 13700 Eastlake Boulevard, police said.
Police received reports that three men were involved.
After investigation, officers were able to determine that two of the three men were directly involved and were arrested.
Police said Reynaga provided officers with incorrect identification information.
A jail magistrate issued a $27,500 bond for Reynaga and a $10,000 bond for Lara.
