Javier Estrella and Cesar Adan Raymundo.

Two people were arrested by the El Paso Police Department’s gang unit in separate incidents last week

The first arrest happened around 2:50 a.m. Wednesday on Giles Road and Ranchland Drive.

Offers met with Cesar Raymundo, 24, and authorities discovered he had outstanding warrants for theft of property with two or more previous convictions. He was arrested and booked into the county jail.

The second arrest happened just before 5 p.m. Wednesday when officers conducted a traffic stop.

Javier Estrella, 52, was pulled over for failing to signal at Chestnut Court and Mimosa Avenue, police said.

Officers found Estrella in possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana, and he had outstanding warrants for interfering with an emergency request for assistance and assault family violence, police said.

He was booked into the El Paso County jail.
