El Paso woman gets DWI charge twice in three days

A 34-year-old woman was pulled over on suspicion of driving drunk twice over the course of three days.

The first incident happened just before 2 a.m. Saturday on the 8500 block of Roseway Drive.

Officers were checking on a vehicle that was stopped in the middle of the road, and the found that the driver, Jessica Garcia, was intoxicated, police said.

Garcia was also in possession of less than 0.5 grams of cocaine, police said.

She was arrested and charged with DWI and possession of a controlled substance.

Garcia was arrested again late Tuesday night after she was seen speeding in a 2015 BMW M6, police said.

Garcia was traveling 73 mph in a 45 mph zone on the 1300 block of N. Zaragoza Road, police said.

Officers pulled over the vehicle, and found Garcia to be intoxicated.

She was again charged with DWI and was booked into the county jail on a $20,000 bail.
