El Paso police seek woman in burglaries caught on video

The El Paso Police Department said police are looking for a woman who committed a string of burglaries throughout El Paso that were all caught on security cameras.

The first theft occurred on July 18 at Dillard’s in Cielo Vista Mall, where the woman stole a Louis Vuitton purse valued at $1,350, according to police investigators.

On July 28, the same woman entered a hotel room at the Stay Bridge Suites, at 6680 Gateway East, and took a laptop and several shopping bags totaling $4,000 from guests staying at the hotel, said El Paso police Detective Javier Sambrano.

Sambrano said a third burglary at the Cattle Baron restaurant at 1700 Airway happened on Aug. 5. In this case the woman stole an employee's purse that was stored on a shelf behind the hostess podium.

The woman in the footage is described as white or Hispanic, with a light complexion and medium build. She is approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and uses prescription glasses.
