EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — As part of National Drive Electric Week 2020 by Plug-In America, El Paso Electric officials said it launched its newest initiative, the EV Community, where EV car owners can connect with up-to-date information and resources all found within EPE’s service territory.
The launch of EPE’s EV Community was held through a virtual event, Charging Towards Change.
The event happened Wednesday at noon.
The event featured the Company’s Renewables and Emerging Technologies Team, a history on EVs, a panel discussion on EV insiders, and a side-by-side comparison among different types of hybrids and EVs.
El Paso Electric is a regional electric utility providing generation, transmission and distribution service to approximately 437,000 retail and wholesale customers in a 10,000 square mile area of the Rio Grande valley in west Texas and southern New Mexico.
