Grandmother attacked by bees in Texas dies

EL PASO, Texas (KFOX) - A grandmother who was attacked by bees in east El Paso has died, a family member said.

Marcelina Sanchez died after she was attacked Monday by bees outside a home in the 3000 block of Cascade Point, near Rich Beem and Pebble Hills boulevards.

Sanchez was taken to the hospital Monday afternoon with serious injuries.

Pest control workers were seen outside the home Tuesday where the woman was attacked.

Viewers told KFOX14 that the area was blocked off and police, as well as beekeepers, were seen in the neighborhood.
