EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14) — A man was convicted in the stabbing death of a 61-year-old that was killed in 2017, according court records.
Dwayne Woodruff was convicted last week for the murder of James Everhart.
Everhart was killed on March 22, 2017 in a parking lot at 3912 Kemp Street in northeast El Paso, according to police.
He was stabbed to death by Woodruff.
Everhart was taken to University Medical Center, where he died.
Police said the two men were involved in an argument that escalated.
Everhart was stabbed repeatedly in the torso by Woodruff.
Woodruff left the scene in a vehicle and was later spotted by police officers and taken into custody.
Woodruff was sentenced to 35 years in prison.
