Body found in El Paso's lower valley
EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14) — Several El Paso police investigators and an El Paso police mobile crime unit are the scene where a body was found.
The unidentified body was discovered in a Lower Valley neighborhood Thursday.
El Paso police crime scene investigators are at in the 7600 block of Barton Street.
The investigation is underway and limited information is available.
A woman at the scene told KFOX14 she is the sister of a man that they found in a ditch near the mobile home park.
She said her brother was in his late 30s and he had been missing since the weekend.
KFOX14 spoke to the man that found the body and who called police.
"I was working down the street and I had to walk on top of the ditch and when I came around this area, I smelled of the body," he said.
A neighbor we spoke with said she knew the man from high school and that he lived in the neighborhood near where the body was found.
She spoke with us on the condition of staying anonymous and said the man’s family asked her if she had seen him.
“Last night they asked me if I remembered him and yeah they said that he had been missing since Saturday,” said the neighbor.
