EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspect in a 2018 shooting case that left one dead.
Eduardo Garza Santillana 41, of Fabens was arrested Saturday by the Sheriff’s Office's Major Crimes Unit.
The shooting happened July 25, 2018 at 21443 Alameda Ave.
One of the victims, 54-year-old Miguel Rivera died as a result of a gunshot wound. The second victim 44-year-old Abelardo Moreno, was treated for a gunshot wound.
As a result of a seven-month investigation, the Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit obtained warrants for Garza’s arrest.
Garza was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on Saturday and charged with capital murder and aggravated assault with deadly weapon with combined bonds totaling $2,250,000.
