TORNILLO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A barn used to store cotton seed in Tornillo was destroyed in a fire.
The fire happened Tuesday in the 700 block of 700 block of O.T. Smith Road around 3:45 p.m.
When fire fighters arrived the barn was fully engulfed in flames, said El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
It took fire crews about two hours to extinguish the fire.
No injuries were reported.
The estimated loss of cotton and property was valued at $600,000.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Clint, Fabens, San Elizario and Tornillo fire departments helped extinguish the fire.
