EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14) — Four people were shot, and two were seriously injured, during a shooting between rival gangs at an east El Paso bar, police said.
The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. Sunday at the Mulligans Chopped Hog bar at 1810 George Dieter Drive.
Police said one of the groups was told to leave the bar, which then prompted an argument and a fight between the two gangs.
While the fight was going on, the suspected shooter walked into the bar and began shooting at members of the rival gang, police said.
Juan Martinez, 61, and Ballardo Salcido, 49, were seriously injured. Juan Miguel Vega-Rivera, 36, and David Villalobos, 47, were also injured in the shooting.
A description of the shooter was not released and no arrests have been made.
Police said Mulligan’s Chopped Hog Bar will be closed for 7 days effective Monday following Sunday night’s shooting.
A suspension of license has been imposed on the bar by TABC.
