Sinclair Cares: Standing Strong for Texas raised more than $1.3 million.

KFOX14 and CBS4 teamed up with the Salvation Army to raise money for Hurricane Harvey relief.

When Hurricane Harvey hit Texas, 13 Sinclair Broadcast Group stations teamed up to cover the story for our group. Our news crews were stationed in Texas including Rockport, Corpus Christi, San Antonio, Austin, Beaumont, and Houston.

Within hours, KFOX14 anchor Robert Holguin and senior photojournalist Rudy Reyes were dispatched to San Antonio to help our sister stations and provide week-long coverage for our viewers. The following week, CBS4 anchor Nate Barrett and chief photojournalist Mario Lopez traveled to Beaumont, Texas. In Beaumont, Nate and Rudy reported on the city's water supply problems due to pumps being out of service.

Sinclair matched up to the first $100,000 donated.

In total, $1.4 million was raised.
