Margarita shake-off and fajitas cook-off to raise money for scholarships

Fajitas and margaritas are being served for a good cause.

The El Paso Community College Culinary Arts program will be hosting a "Fajitas & Margaritas for Scholarships" event.

In efforts to raise money to help local students attend school.

There will be a margarita shake-off and fajitas cook-off between EPCC Culinary Arts' student teams and faculty chefs.

"We're going to have all three different degrees we have within culinary arts there participating. We have our pastry department making all sorts of fun pastries, our restaurant management students handling the alcohol services and then our culinary students making the fajitas," said Daniel Guerra, program coordinator.

The event happens Thursday starting at 6 p.m. at the EPCC Administrative Services Center on Viscount Boulevard.

You must 21 and over to attend.

General admission is $100 and $50 for students and staff.
