Father's Day is Sunday, and what better way to celebrate dad this weekend than with a trip to the ballpark?

The El Paso Chihuahuas will play at Southwest University Park Friday through Sunday.

On Friday, the Chihuahuas finish a homestand against the Nashville Sounds. The first pitch is at 7:05 p.m. and four lucky fans, chosen at random, will have the opportunity to win a flat screen television. Also, the ballpark will host a night of "golden tickets" with mascot Chico. Fans who find a "golden ticket" will win a prize.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Chihuahuas host the Memphis Redbirds. Game time on Saturday is at 7:05 p.m. and the first pitch on Father's Day is 6:05 p.m. The theme for Saturday's game is the 40th celebration of the iconic film "Grease" and there will be postgame fireworks. For Sunday's game, kids can line-up to run the bases after the game.

You may also take dad to one of the many farmers' markets in the Borderland this weekend. On Saturday, the market at Ardovino's Desert Crossing will give kids the chance to make a gift for dad. Market hours are 7:30 a.m. to noon. Make plans to celebrate further by having brunch at the restaurant on-site.

Sunland Park Mall will celebrate dads on Saturday. The "Man vs. Food Challenge," sponsored by Dickey's Barbecue Pit, is still in need of participants. Interested parties should visit the store to sign-up. Also, GameStop will be hosting a PS4 FIFA soccer tournament. The Sunland Park event is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Prize options include a dinner for four, family movie passes and gifts from Dillards, Ooh La La , Unique Sports, FYE, Sears and Mobile, according to the event's Facebook page.

The Grape Italian Steakhouse will host a three-course Father's Day wine dinner on Sunday from 5:30 to 9 p.m. The welcome wine will be introduced at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Attendees may choose between New York strip steak or chicken francaise. To reserve your tickets or receive more information, call (915) 626-9381.

On Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Gusto Restaurant will host a "Steak & Scotch" brunch. Treat dad to a pairing of bone-in rib eye and Chivas 18 scotch on Father's Day. The rest of the family may choose from a special brunch menu prepared by chef Victor Rodriguez. For reservations and additional information, call (915) 307-3346.

The Alamo Drafthouse will show a special screening of "True Grit" on Sunday. From 6 to 8 p.m., the iconic Western will appear on the big screen. Order dad a whiskey cocktail from the theater's special selection to accompany the show.

On Saturday, from noon to 12:45 p.m., make this Father's Day memorable with a printmaking class at the El Paso Museum of Art. Families may work together to create a print, guided by an EPMA teaching artist who will teach the process of relief printing and how to use the museum’s printing press. All materials and supplies are included. The class is designed for those ages 4 and up. The event is open exclusively to member families, seniors and children.
