Borderland artists come together for 'Bowie Bash'

David Bowie (1947-2016)

Artists and crafts vendors from across the Borderland will join together for a festive evening called "Bowie Bash" on Jan. 26.

From 7 p.m. until 11 p.m., approximately 70 vendors are expected to showcase their work at the Academy of Aerial Fitness located at 1057 Doniphan Park Circle, Suite E, on the westside. Vendors and performances will take over the space, inside and out, transforming it into a tribute to the late rock star David Bowie (1947-2016). Local food trucks will also be present. The event is family-friendly, with music and other activities.

The event is being organized by Nikki Gonzalez, of Kaleidoscope Art Space Gallery of El Paso. Gonzalez is known to produce unique art shows and markets on a quarterly basis.

The event space, Academy of Aerial Fitness, is a 501(c)3 organization operated by Karolyn Nevarez.

Vendors are still being accepted. The cost is $15 for a booth. Vendors are expected to bring their own table, chairs, tent and any other needs.
