Police: 36-year-old man dies in fight in northeast El Paso Saturday morning

A deadly fight in northeast El Paso left a 36-year-old man dead, police say.

El Paso Police say officers responded to a fight around 1:41 a.m. in the 5000 block of Pikes Peak Drive that’s near Diana Drive.

Investigators said officers found Marco Hinojos, 36, in the driveway of a home, unresponsive with an injury to his head.

Police said he was taken to University Medical Center for his injuries, where he later died.

Police said they arrested 35-year-old Efrain Argumedo of El Paso in connection to Hinojos' death.

He is facing a murder charge. He was booked into the El Paso County Jail on a a $500,000 bond.

This is the 19 murder so far this year, said police.
