EL PASO, Texas — In 2015, Evolve FCU began their social purpose that aimed to evolve children of El Paso.
Since then, Evolve has created events that brought the community together and focused on giving back.
Daytime on KFOX14 spoke to Public Relations Specialist, Daniela Lopez, who said events were not able to be held as normal due to the pandemic in 2020, but returned in 2021.
In March of 2021, Evolve held "Spring Break At The Movies" in partnership with Cinemark. Different organizations, had their own theatre to enjoy snacks and a movie together.
Other events held throughout the year include the annual clothing drive benefiting CandleLighters of El Paso, Kids at the Zoo, and a partnership with El Paso Symphony Orchestra where they performed a concert at The Child Crisis Center.
In December, Evolve kicked off their "12 Days of Wishes" benefiting the "Make-A-Wish" foundation and local children who are currently waiting for a wish to be granted.
Shortly after, Evolve finished the year with their Shoe Story event in partnership with Academy where they donated 200 pairs of shoes.
"It was an amazing event and we had the ability to give back to the community in such way and make such amazing partnerships around the city with people that want to help just as much as we do, is amazing." Said Lopez.
There are two permanent clothing bins you can donate to at their east and west side locations.
