Kimberly and Esteban are looking for the best barbecue in Texas!
Daytime correspondent Amy Licerio brought Esteban to El Paso to try Desert Oak Barbecue.
The two tried brisket in the heart of El Paso - San Jacinto Plaza in downtown Wednesday.
The owner of Desert Oak Barbecue, Richard Funk, says its barbecue has a central Texas flare.
Locals were asked on Facebook and Twitter what their favorite barbecue restaurant in El Paso was, and many chose Desert Oak Barbecue.
Funk says the restaurant smokes meats overnight to be ready for lunch.
Visit it in east El Paso at 1320 N Zaragoza Rd. #105, El Paso, TX 79936.
