Scoop on Savings -- Things to save on in April

April deals

It’s the fourth month of the year, and according to Business Insider, it’s the month of shopping and savings.

Not only are there good deals on spring apparel, but there’s also tax day freebies to watch out for.

Business Insider says, in April, you can expect moderate discounts of 15 to 30% off.

It’s also a great time to stock up on winter gear, before the clearance-level discounts go away. According to, this month, you can expect men’s shorts to fall to about $3 at stores like Walmart, while dresses and sandals start at around $6 at numerous outlets.

Of course, Tax Day is April 17th, and as we creep closer to the big day, there’s going to be lots of great sales and freebies, especially on food. For example, last year, Arbys gave customers free curly fries with no purchase required, Firehouse Subs had coupons for a free medium sub and Schlotzsky’s gave customers a free original sandwich, with a purchase of chips and a drink.

Kezhal Dashti will have your Tax Day freebies in two weeks, in your Scoop on Savings.
