Start the New Year with a pet pal and save a life

Adopt me! Lulu can be found at El Paso Animal Services.

El Paso Animal Services of El Paso receives intakes thousands of animals every year. Sadly, the New Year for some animals started without a home and in a kennel at the shelter.

There are two dogs in particular who have been at the shelter for some time now and are still searching for a forever home. Animals who have an extended stay at the shelter are referred to as long timers.

Both of these dogs were never reclaimed by their owners which is of no fault of their own. They are looking forward to finding a forever family and are now up to date on vaccinations, micro chipped, fixed, registered with the city shelter and their adoption fees are waived.

Meet Lulu, a 5 years old Black Staffordshire Mix. (Her shelter I.D. number is A37035380)

Shelter staff told KFOX14 Lulu is a bundle of cuddly joy. They say she's the perfect pup for cuddling and snuggling, and would love a forever family to curl up next to. She knows sit and is very good at gently taking treats from your hands.

Then there's Zeus! He's a 1-year-old White/Brindle Staffordshire Mix. (His shelter I.D. number A33470685)

Shelter staff describes Zeus as a pup full of pep, and said if your New Year’s Resolution is to be more active, this is your boy! They say he is a handsome fellow who is great on a leash and loves to run, he knows sit and shake and is looking for a family to play with.

If you're interested in adopting either of these long timers or both, please contact El Paso Animal Services today or visit the shelter.
